Personal data and use
For submissions, we store the shop name, address, city, email, optional website and message. Premium enquiries also include the selected package and billing period. We use these details to review the enquiry and follow up with you. Submissions are not automatically made public. Your location is used only after a click and browser permission to calculate distances on this device. We do not send or store it on the server. For Top 3 or Premium requests, the administrator receives the shop name, contact details, requested placement and message by email.
Cookies and local storage
After confirming you are 18+, your browser receives an anonymous Supabase identity without an email address. Access tokens stay in browser storage and refresh automatically. Likes are stored against that identity; each identity can like each shop once. Supabase processes this data in Frankfurt and may retain technical security logs. Your external map choice lasts up to 180 days. Favourites and display preferences stay locally until you clear browser storage. Each tab uses a random visitor session code. Inactive counter sessions are removed after 30 minutes on the next activity; aggregate visits are retained.
External services
Map software from unpkg and OpenStreetMap tiles load only if you allow external map services. They receive technical details such as your IP address. Directions and sharing buttons open external websites when clicked; their privacy policies apply.
Advertising and Google consent
We use Google Privacy & messaging to manage advertising preferences. When this service loads, Google receives technical information such as your IP address and browser information. When ads are displayed, Google and the listed advertising partners may use cookies or similar storage for ad delivery, measurement and, depending on your choices, personalisation. The Google message lists the partners and purposes. You can refuse consent, manage individual purposes and later change or withdraw consent through Advertising privacy. External map consent is separate.
Retention and your rights
Completed shop submissions and Premium applications that do not result in an agreement are retained for no longer than six calendar months after the last substantive contact. We then delete the application data and related emails. If there has been no substantive contact, the receipt date is the starting point. An automated acknowledgement does not extend this period. Data needed for an ongoing agreement is retained for as long as necessary for that agreement. After it ends, we delete the remaining application data within six months of the last substantive contact. Necessary tax records are subject to the applicable statutory retention period; this does not mean that the entire application file or all emails are kept for that period. A limited set of data may need to be retained longer for a specific legal dispute. We document the reason and reassess the need every three months.
